ENGSoft Inc. opens its steam table OCX file in free for use by engineering programmers worldwide.

The OCX file is the execution file of ActiveX(R) control of MicroSoft(R) based on OLE(Object Linking & Embedding) technology.

The advantage of ActiveX(R) control is its use in Microsoft(R) Excel(R) that many engineers use in engineering calculation.  However, Excel(R) has some limitations.   One of them is the difficulty in programming.   Steam table is the one that engineers come up with in Excel(R) calculation.   Now you do not have to worry about steam table application in Excel(R) calculation when you use ESStableD.ocx.   Please refer to "

1. Activation of [View]-[Tool Box]

In "Use of ESStableD.ocx in Microsoft(R) Excel(R)", sometime [View]-[Tool Box] menu is not activated.  In the case, please add a user-defined fom by clicking [Add]-[User-defined Form].   Then [View]-[Tool Box] is activated.

2. "Project or library can not be found" Error

Depending on MS Excel(R) version, this error can be triggered.   This error is caused by not recognizing the enumerated values of ESStableD type library in the MS Excel(R) version.   

In the case, please use original integer values for those properties that can use enumerated value. For example, please use integer value of "0" instead of enumerated value "unit_kgpercm2a" for pressure unit property.  Please refer to the User Manual of ESStableD for the original values and enumerated valvues.
