This tab is for input of pump design conditions for Design Heat Balance.
BFP Discharge Press, BFP Efficiency, BFP Motor Efficiency text boxes
To input relevant values of BFP(Boiler Feed Water Pump).
BFP Discharge Pressure is used for calculating the feed water pressure downstream of BFP as well as calculating the enthalpy rise at BFP.
BFP Efficiency and Motor Efficiency is used for calculating BFP power. In case of Turbine Driven BFP, the data is used for calculating heat balance around BFP Driving Turbine.
CEP Discharge Press, BFP Efficiency, BFP Motor Efficiency text boxes
To input relevant values of CEP(Condensate Extraction Pump).
CEP Discharge Pressure is used for calculating the feed water pressure downstream of CEP and upstream of contact type heater for BFP, i.e. deaerator.
CEP Efficiency and Motor Efficiency is used for calculating CEP power.
CWP Discharge Press. CWP Suction Press, CWP Efficiency, CWP Motor Efficiency text boxes
To input relevant data of CWP(Condenser Cooling Water Pump).
These values are used for calculating CWP brake horsepower and power consumption.
ES_Rankine calculates brake horsepower considering only pressure head, not considering elevation head. Elevation head has a big effect on brake horsepower of CWP, not like BFP and CEP. Therefore, when inputting CWP discharge and suction pressures, please take into account elevation effect.
Motor Rating Minimum Margin text box
To input the minimum margin to be considered when selecting motor rating from the brake horsepower calculated.
ES_Rankine uses industry standard motor rating table for motor rating selection. Motor rating is selected in the table as to be greater than Pump Brake HP + Motor Rating Minimum Margin.
If the pump brake horsepower calculated is greater than 1000 kW, motor rating is selected as the pump brake horsepower.
Motor Efficiency Input frame
To select whether motor efficiency is to be calculated by software automatically or input by User.
If User Input is selected, all motor efficiency text boxes are activated for input.
